The Glory of the Lord has Risen

Based on scripture from Isaiah 60, traditional scriptural language and inclusive language versions.

Call to Worship:

Arise, shine; for your light has come, Even when darkness covers the earth, and all peoples are in the shadow; the LORD will arise upon us, and God’s glory will pervade all shadows. Nations shall be enlightened, and all the powers on earth yield to the brightness of heavenly dawn.

The glory of the LORD has risen upon us.

Brothers and Sisters, open your eyes and look around; all people become the people of God; every child becomes a child of God.

The glory of the LORD has risen upon us.

All people will see God’s radiance; The Lord’s heart shall thrill and rejoice in our worship and gifts. All will bring gold and frankincense and proclaim the praise of the LORD.

The glory of the LORD has risen upon us.
