Intercession for Love

Dearest Healing and Enabling God,  

We pray for those of us who cannot fully love you.  

Those who have been too hurt by the church or other believers  

Those who are tied to logic and miss the truth in mystery and the liminal 

Those for whom the weight of the presence of evil occluded your presence 

Those who have not experienced real love in others to relate to your love  

We Pray for those of us who cannot truly love themselves 

Those who have been exploited and abused 

Those who mistake their value on false external measures of worth 

Those with self-love that has experienced death by 1000 cutting words 

Those who have not been properly loved by others  

We pray for those of us who cannot actually love their neighbors 

Those who do not who their neighbors are 

Those who are defensive, living in scarcity, building walls 

Those who forget or haven’t learned the true nature of the presence of Christ they are to embody  

Those who don’t fully love you, or truly love themselves and cannot yet actually love their neighbors.  

Dearest God, enable us to fully love you,  

truly love ourselves, 

and actually, love our neighbors. 

Heal us and enable us through your grace.
