Welcoming Prayer

Come, all are welcome in our worship. 

We worship a God who becomes what they love, 

We worship a God who became human, 

Became fully human in love, and still fully divine. 

We worship a God who can handle all of our humanity 

We worship a God who understands all humanity. 

God bids us to come, 

Giving God our anger, resentment, joy, and adoration. 

Come and worship in questioning, 

And confusion about the existence of sin and evil. 

Come, seeking answers, comfort, love, and the divine, 

Beloved humanity, come, let’s worship our God.
